I’m a visual artist and writer based in The Hague, The Netherlands.
My practice engages with the ways social, political, and spiritual realities are shaped by economies of feeling, ecology of belonging, and structures of violence. Situated between the context of the post-Soviet identity formation and migrant/immigrant experience in the Global North, my work explores methods of intimate narration and the absurdity of so-called “historical” moments.
I approach my work as a process of decomposition—a slow rotting and fermenting of disciplinary boundaries. Which shows through working across a wide range of mediums, such as painting, writing, drawing, performance, film, photography, archiving, cooking, gardnering, and sculpture.
Within this, I see artistic practice as a container for memory and as a mode of care that surfaces in reaching, longing toward language(s) and in acts of mourning.
